In the early morning hours of Friday the 19th of February 2010 Officers from the Bancroft detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police responded to the report of a break and enter to a residence near the junction of Hwy 62 & Twp Rd 620 in Limerick Township.
Investigation revealed that an unknown suspect entered the residence and set fire to the interior of the residence while the occupants were sleeping. Fortunately the home owner was able to suppress the fire before causing injury to any of the occupants. Damage to the residence was minimal.
