In the afternoon of Monday the 17th of August 2009 Officers from the Bancroft detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police responded to the report of a theft from the Royal Canadian Legion on Station Street in the Town of Bancroft.
Investigation revealed that sometime between Wednesday the 12th of August and Saturday the 15th of August unknown suspects forcibly entered a locked storage closet and stole cash.
