Belleville Police are looking for information regarding a stolen vehicle. On August 4th at 1:54 AM, on officer was responding to a report of a stolen car in the west end, when the car crossed his path.
The vehicle failed to stop for police on Yeomans St. and continued south to Parker St. Once on Highland Ave, the vehicle mounted the curb at the south end of the street and drove down the grassy embankment onto Dundas St. W. Officers were able to follow the marks on the roadway because of a damaged rim on the stolen car. These tracks led over the Bay Bridge into Rossmore where the stolen car was located abandoned.
