On the evening of Tuesday the 10th of March 2009 Officers from the Bancroft detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police received the report of a theft from Vito’s Pizzeria Restaurant on Hastings Street North in the Town of Bancroft. Police attended the location and investigation revealed that a male entered the restaurant and advised staff he was waiting for someone else to attend. A short time later the male left the restaurant and staff noticed money missing from the cash register.
On Thursday the 12th of March 2009 Officers from the Bancroft OPP received the report of the theft of cash from H & R Block on Snow Road in the Town of Bancroft. Investigation revealed that on the 11th of March a male entered the business and advised staff that he was waiting for a family member to attend. After the male left, the staff noticed cash missing from the cash register.
